SINTER METALS
Sinter metal products are based on powder metallurgy and they have completely new characteristics compared to products derived using casting or forging technology:
Can be manufactured with particular porosity;
They have equal characteristics and high exactitude accuracy;
They can be calibrated to a close tolerance and good surface quality;
They can be delivered ready for installation or as an intermediate for subsequent mechanical processing;
Allows the production of parts with characteristics that can’t be achieved by other technologies;
Allows the production of parts with complex shape, such as gears, curves with narrow tolerances without the need of subsequent mechanical processing;
They have a good flow or vice versa, good braking characteristics and resistance to scuffing;
Due to characteristics of porosity, on machine parts it’s possible to get self-lubricating characteristics;
Just like the parts obtained with other technologies, they can be heat and surface treated;
